Teacher Discussion Boards and Forums

I get a lot of inspiration from other teachers by visiting forums and posting questions.  Sometimes it’s easier to collaborate online than it is in person. Don’t you think?

One site I’ve used before is http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/

At that site there are tons of discussion forums by level, subject, etc…  There are book groups, forums on classroom management, testing, Montessori, and forums dedicated to finding classroom penpals.

There is a discussion forum for teachers at paperbackswap.com that is helpful for several reasons. First, teachers can post questions about, for instance, teaching strategies,  classroom management and curriculum.  Further, teachers often have books available that complete your classroom set of books. These may not be postable on paperbackswap so they share them through the forum.  Further, they often offer more advantageous deals like two-for-one swaps.
